Meet TatiAna Beamon of Tati’s Cupcake Couture in South Central

Today we’d like to introduce you to TatiAna Beamon.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I love bringing people together and putting smiles on folks faces. There is so much ugly in this world, and I’ve seen so much of it upfront. So, I vowed to bring nothing but love into it. Watching my granny and her sister bake desserts that my family would go crazy over put a light in my heart. Seeing everyone together, full of joy, would make me so happy. I loved the idea of Valentine’s Day in elementary school; making treats and passing them out to your friends. I kept this up all the way in high school, and that’s when I decided to do it for every holiday. After a while, people started asking about them all the time and saying they would pay me for them. From then on, I have kept up my hobby, and the last two years have been dedicated to changing into a business.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it has not! Ranging from no home support to mental illness, this has not been an easy road. I was brought up in a semi-loving family, and one who doesn’t believe in goals unless it’s sports. Also, I was diagnosed with PTSD around 2016. Learning how to cope with episodes are ruff, but worth it.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Tati’s Cupcake Couture – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I am a gourmet baker. I provide quality custom desserts ranging from Cakes, Cupcakes, and other sweet treats. I also curve sweet tooth cravings with a weekly rotating menu that consists of cupcakes, peach cobbler, banana puddings, etc. I specialize in and am known for Cupcakes. I am most proud of sticking to quality, I take my time with each order to ensure my clients receive the best of the best desserts possible. Best in esthetics and best in taste. Everything is made from scratch! I try to keep most things in house, to ensure the greatest quality.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am looking forward to opening up shop soon! Being a home-based bakery is fun, but I can not wait until my clients can come vibe with me. I want to provide an experience on top of buying desserts.
