Meet Tina Moore of talkshoplive in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tina Moore.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I spent the first ten years of my career in NYC working as a publicist for consumer brands. When I decided to make the move to Los Angeles, I was burnt out and decided to take a break. It didn’t last long, and I was fortunate to land in the City of Angels right at the time when digital media was becoming a “thing” – for brands to have a presence on social media platforms, traditionally reserved to keep up with friends. During this time, I jumped on the digital wave, using my PR and advertising experience in the social media space. I quickly began working with talent, and influencers… and carefully matching them with brands and charities to benefit both parties.

Fast forward 10 years, and I, along with my brother and cousin, am now launching a new social media platform for both entrepreneurs and established brands, to sell their products- and creating an innovative way for buyers to shop. Meet talkshoplive!

Has it been a smooth road?
I would be lying if I said “yes”. However, I feel that although there have been challenges along the way, I have had the support and guidance to weather through the struggles. I’ve learned that although we would like to know everything and have the right answers, NOT knowing is actually the journey and usually makes the result even sweeter. I’ve also been fortunate to have been surrounded by a great team, whom I look to for advice and creativity every day. Without a team I could trust, I would not be in the position I am today.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the talkshoplive story. Tell us more about the business.
Launched a month ago, Talkshop.live offers everyone from small business owners to mainstream brands and influencers a platform to create their own live streaming home shopping shows. The first network of social selling shows powered by user-generated content, talkshoplive™ is also a full-service storefront and an intimate shopping exchange never before experienced in online purchasing for sellers and buyers.

We are most proud to be able to offer an even playing field for entrepreneurs to share their brands, their products, and their missions in their own words, and in their own way.

What sets us apart: our platform is the first of its kind destination where anyone who wants to sell (and, of course, buy!) is given the tools they need to create a professional online home shopping channel. We offer shipping labels, order management, and an easy way to communicate with both existing and new customers.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The social media impact on e-commerce has been massive over the past several years and continues to see a rise in marketing dollar spends and sales completed. That said, as I look towards the future of the industry, I believe the focus will be on live stream selling, which will allow independent sellers to have skin in the game, but will also allow larger brands to track ROI from influencers in a quantifiable way — items sold. We see the trend as being live stream selling on-the-go and in real-life because even in our current digital landscape consumers want to buy from the trusted advice of a friend, mentor or person that they look up or aspire to be. With live stream selling shows, everyone can share experiences when looking to purchase products.
