Meet TA’J B

Today we’d like to introduce you to TA’J B.

Thanks for sharing your story with us TA’J. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started acting at the age of eight years old. I took acting classes to see if I would like it and I enjoyed it. I thought it would be really cool to see myself on tv one day. I really got into it and inspired when my family seen the potential I had to succeed in this industry. My acting coach would always say to my mom after class, this guy is going to be something.

Now, I see going forward four years later GOD continues to bless my career every year to a different and higher level. I have been able to see myself on many tv shows, commercials, documentaries and movies and I know that is because my mother did not allow us to turn down anything but our collars. God has truly blessed me within a short period of time the opportunity to work on some amazing projects and with amazing productions, cast and crew members. I love the path GOD is leading my career to. No limits.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been all peaches and cream going down this road. The biggest struggle has been financially. Having to get to and from auditions within short notices and I am talking within 24 hours notice sometimes, working out transportation to get to and from places or getting lost when you get there and showing up late because you got lost but that is nothing but GOD when you still booked it after having to wait to audition 2 hours later. That is confirmation what god has for you is for you no matter what. I would not be able to overcome any of these struggles without the support and sacrifice of my mother, grandmother, siblings, stepdad, stepmom aka mom mom and GOD. They always pull through knowing my mom robs Peter to pay Paul to help make my career a success. My mother always says what we put in is what we will get out and we hustle from the muscle. The struggle is real. Impossible is I’m possible.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I do many things in acting. I can improv, adlib, memorize lines, teleprompter etc. I specialize in focusing and getting into character when on set and improvising. Last year I won winners up trophy for monologue in the BARBIZON competition. I am known for acting, building friendships, and having a heart for the homeless. What sets me apart from others is my personality, character, and confidence and how much effort I put into acting as well as being called little Denzel Washington.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I have always been very humble, attentive, and a quick learner. My mother said I always acted and carried myself in a mature and respectable manner as a young man. She knew I was a gifted child with many talents growing up and requested my school to test me. They tested me in 3rd grade and I scored a very high IQ and superior high in performing arts. I have a caring and loving personality. People say they see my personality right through my smile and photos. I have a warm heart for the homeless and love helping them when I can. My interest is helping people when I can, learning how to cook, playing basketball and using some of Mr. Allen Iverson moves, video games, acting, and most of all thanking GOD for all of my blessings.
