Today we’d like to introduce you to Sue Fearless.
Sue, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a Domestic Violence Survivor our CEO, Sue Fearless, founded Fearless Women, a Women EmPOWERed Organization to Uplift, Inspire, Empower and help Women heal from trauma. We, as the Board of Directors, have set out on a journey to bring together women and coach them on how to adopt a positive mindset, heal from trauma, develop confidence, provide support and encouragement, provide resources and education and assist with job placement.
In addition to helping them become FEARLESS and powerful through Motivational Speaking, Mindset Coaching, Health & Wellness Sessions, Group & Individual Workshops, Sisterhood gatherings, and Personal/Professional Development Programs & Retreats. In addition to our focus with our women, we also collaborate and support the men in our community. We are working on putting together several programs together for 2022. We are passionate about bringing restoration and changing the narrative in our communities in the 5 Boroughs and helping to bring the communities together positively by providing attainable resources and education. We have been working very hard to help women and children in our communities and we would love to bring our organization more exposure.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been the easiest journey. As a single mom, time, resources and finances were always lacking. I’ve had to juggle a 9-5, being a mom and being an entrepreneurial to be able to fund my organization. In addition, initially, I was running the organization by myself so I had to take care of everything from finances to marketing, to legal, to admin work. It has been very busy but also very rewarding because I learned how to find balance in my life and also teach myself skills I didn’t have such as website development, social media managing, marketing tools and how to budget expenses.
Another thing that has been difficult is sharing my Domestic Violence story. I wanted to make sure that when sharing my story I was sensitive to my children’s reaction and relationship with their father as I did not want to share my story as an attack but more so to bring awareness on red flags and ways to get out of this dangerous situation and where to go for help. Also hearing the women’s stories have been difficult, especially at times where I hear from the family and loved ones who lost someone due to Domestic Violence.
We’d love to hear more about your organization.
What sets us apart is that we through our workshops we provide the opportunity for our members to be able to interact on a personal level with our educators, mentors and panel professionals. They are also able to exchange information and get some on one on training time. We are passionate about members leaving our workshops gaining knowledge they need to be able to be successful in their businesses and their careers. Our Board members, including myself, also provide one on one coaching in areas such as Mindset, Lifestyle, etc. We also have a background in Health, Media, Marketing and so much more. With us, you are able to receive assistance in all areas of your business.
I am most proud of how we have all come together and created a sisterhood, a safe space, where we can heal from trauma and be able to gain a healthy mindset in order to receive all of the blessings and success into their lives.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see our organizations expanding globally. We are passionate in bringing our services to other countries. This year we will be setting out on missions to Puerto Rico to assist with Post-relief and also the Bahamas. We are looking to go in and not only help them obtain the resources they need but also be able to heal from the tragedies and lost they have endured, regain the strength and happiness they need to rebuild, bring exposure to the country and to the resources they are lacking and also teach them how to use their own land to grow their own produce.
In addition, we would like to expand our membership globally as well and see how we can go in and empower women across the world and tackle all the different issues they face in their countries, their beliefs and their governments. We would like to eventually bring an opportunity for women to prosper all over the world.
