Meet Steven Rousseau of Deadman6ft in West Hollywood/ Downtown LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Rousseau.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have always been into making things. I have always been an artist making clothes is another medium. My first medium is pencil then watercolor. The end of my junior year of high school. I had to think about college and I always wanted to be an engineer, so I could still create. Going to school for engineering turned out to be to expensive. So my senior year I decided to get into making clothes. Wearing clothes was always a high interest, so making them cane natural. How I got to where I am now was being passionate and caring about the people I wanted to wear my clothes.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been a smooth road. Everything comes with time, no set speed to how soon something should come. All I ever had to do was apply myself and travel with my knowledge.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about DEADMAN6FT – what should we know?
My businesses growth comes soulfully off being interactive, genuine, and meaningful. I try to keep the Chicago youth busy with having parties often with each release. That’s what sets me apart is that aside from being a clothing brand I’m a person. Like 1 in 1.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
All of my closest friends, I often show them my upcoming designs. Although I don’t accept help on designs, I show them my things to see if my stuff is authentic. Media feeds us so much sometimes, it is hard to say when your stuff is original.
