Has it been a smooth road?
Running a business hasn’t been a smooth road, honestly! Our goal is to eventually run the business full time and take it nationally and internationally. Our biggest challenge right now is to get in front of someone that will buy into the product we have rather than just believing in the product. We have something so powerful that many schools need and want but we haven’t lucked out getting in front of a decision maker. There are other struggles along the way besides just meeting or sitting down in front of someone who can believe in us much more than just a small business. Staying discipline is a habit we have built and held ourselves accountable for with S&T Philosophies. Also being on the board for Elevate Network Africa is something that is also challenging as far as managing my time to make sure I am meeting all requirements. I am driven by my faith and I know that all things man cannot do can be done when I put my trust in God. Overall, there are going to be struggles when you are striving to make an impact much bigger than anyone can imagine.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the S&T Philosophies story. Tell us more about the business.
S&T Philosophies has designed a curriculum around Emotional Intelligence to help youth, schools, non-profits and even professionals grow mentally. Our goal is to build emotional skills for people that will allow them to build a clear foundation for sustaining success. My role on the Board of Directors for Elevate Network Africa is to help grow the platform in my homeland. I’ve always wanted to give back to my community so this is my way of giving back. Elevate Network has served thousands of students and young people in Africa and continues to do so today. We help these students build leadership skills to entrepreneurship skills that will spark the creativity they have within them. S&N Connection was started with my fiance because of how connected we are with our walk with faith and with God. We wanted to create a platform for singles and couples that will enable them to grow spiritually throughout their years together or while they are single. As a company and as someone who is a part of some amazing things in the community, I am most proud of how well the customers or clients are doing in the community after attending any of our sessions or using our curriculum. We get really excited and celebrate as an organization when companies and customers are satisfied with our curriculum. We are striving to get it nationally across schools and any help from genuine individuals looking to grow with us is truly welcome. What sets me apart is my spiritual side and walk with God. My covenant with God is so important to me so much so that It inspires me to perform at my best at all times for all the businesses because God is always performing at his best for me. I love helping people and seeing people grow and there is nothing more exciting to me than meeting people who want to grow at that same pace.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see the education industry changing or improving within the next 5 to 10 years. I see big shifts in upgrading the current educational curriculum (hopefully with our curriculum) in all the schools across the U.S and eventually with help internationally. We believe that the current school structure isn’t working and many students have testified to us regarding that. We want to make upgrades to the current curriculum because we understand that this is something that has been used for decades. We certainly hope to make an impact in upgrading the curriculum structure nationally and internationally. We just have to get in front of the right people who are willing to buy into the product as well as believing in what we have. It’s hard to change something that has been used for decades but upgrades in certain criteria can be made to improve the overall quality of education we all receive.
