Meet Stephanie Escobar of Stephanie E. Design in Long Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Escobar.

Stephanie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started playing around on Adobe Photoshop in the 10th grade. As soon as I clicked that magic wand, I never put it down. I grew my skills and continued to teach myself beyond the graphic art class I took in 10th grade.

I started working for my church in 2011 as an administrative assistant. Several months later, my manager discovered that not only did I know my way around photoshop, but that I was pretty good. And that was the beginning of my path to where I am today.

I continued to challenge myself, stay up=to=date on the new features and abilities of photoshop and in the end of 2017, I began teaching myself Adobe Illustrator.

Today, I not only work my dream 9-5 job as a creative director for a local Long Beach company, but I have also launched my freelance business.

My business is targeted for entrepreneurs and small businesses. I offer Easy platform (WIX and Squarespace and some WordPress) webs design, logo design, website and social media content photography, and graphic design; basically a one-stop-shop for all of one’s designing needs.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road.

As a creative, when I was stuck at jobs that did not allow me to fully tap into my creativity I often felt suffocated.

I also faced a lot of struggles finding confidence to step into who I am as a creative. I doubted myself a lot and always felt that I didn’t have the “right” to call myself a designer or photographer. It took over 15 years to grow into my talents and my confidence.

Please tell us about Stephanie E. Design.
Stephanie E. Design is the go-to creative company for entrepreneurs and small businesses. I specialize in the needs and wants of the customer and work with each individual to visualize and bring dreams into reality.

Services include: logo design, website design, social media, and website content photography (which includes portraits, lifestyle, and product photography), graphic and various design services.

What sets me apart is I aim to truly bring the customer’s vision to life. My favorite part about being a creative is hearing “OH WOW!! This is EXACTLY what I envisioned and more!!”

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have had more confidence in myself and allow myself to take more risks towards getting to where I am sooner!
