Meet Stefani Stein

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefani Stein.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Stefani. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After spending seven years in the corporate world, despite my success, I felt unfulfilled.

My passion had always been interior design and 8 years ago I decided life was too short to have regrets. So, I left my comfortable corporate gig and, after a brief sabbatical and some traveling, went back to design school. Five years ago I started working at a high profile design firm and 3 years ago I started my own Interior Design firm.

Has it been a smooth road?
I would be lying if I said there weren’t struggles and challenges. That is inevitable. But, those challenges make the accomplishments that much more gratifying. And, in my world, each project, client and space are unique. So bumps in the road are some of the most valuable learning experiences.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Stefani Stein Inc story. Tell us more about the business.
Stefani Stein Inc. is a full-service interior architecture and design firm established in 2014.

The firm’s approach to design embraces the idea that each client and space are unique. Regardless of the project size or scale, Stein believes that inspiring spaces evolve from the collaboration achieved by listening to both the client and the architecture. With an emphasis on supporting specialized craftspeople and workrooms, the firm’s fabricators are an integral part of the design execution. All of this steers the narrative flawlessly from concept to completion.

This philosophy has led Stein to consistently create timeless designs and win-over celebrity clients. As a native of California, the relaxed yet refined lifestyle is a major influence on her work. Clean, modern touches intertwine with both classical and unexpected elements throughout her projects in the bespoke commercial and residential spaces.

Stein’s expertise and designs have appeared in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, House & Home, Inside Out, Lonny, MyDomaine, Sunset & Style Me Pretty.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
It’s an interesting period for interior design and lifestyle brands and services. On the one hand, global access and the popularity of lifestyle brands and products is at a level never seen before in my industry. But, with that, there has been, in my own opinion, a homogenization of design. I hope to see a return to truly personalized spaces that embrace individuality and craftsmanship.
