Meet Spencer Harris, Matthew Roseman and Brad Roller of Sky Media Entertainment in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Spencer Harris, Matthew Roseman and Brad Roller.

Spencer, Matthew, and Brad, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
The three of us, Matthew, Brad and I, had been free-lancing in the Southern California area for the past few years or so–each of us with our own successes. Luckily, we all met at some point along the way. Immediately there was great mutual respect, camaraderie and friendship between us. Our multiple talents created an interesting dynamic. Over the years, we had invested in enough equipment to create a small production company, so we figured 3 heads are better than 1 and created Sky Media Entertainment. Our company is based on just that–solid, honest relationships.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s hard to say smooth, but it has definitely been a great learning experience. I think that’s why we decided to start the company–to sort of elevate, challenge and learn with each other. Of course, every business finds its obstacles in the beginning, and we continue to overcome them as they show themselves from time to time. Thankfully between the three of us, someone always has a solution.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Sky Media Entertainment is a full-service production company. We specialize in digital content creation, whether it be videography, photography or aerial imaging for personal or commercial use. Each of our clients are of the highest importance to us, and we stand by our work 100%. Nothing excites us more than seeing our clients’ vision brought to life. We believe in creating a product that our clients will not only be proud of, but excited about as well. No one could be more delighted to work with you than the Sky Media team.

What sets us apart? Our dedication to quality.

What are we most proud of? Our philanthropic work. Sky Media Entertainment gives 5% of all profits to a charity, and we couldn’t be happier to be in a position to do so.

What were you like growing up?
Spencer: Oh, boy. Haha…growing up, if I wasn’t getting into some sort of mischief, I was always with a camera. My dad had a few of them around the house, and I remember just looking though the viewfinder, and through it, anything seemed possible. It was a different time then, so you had to be a bit more conservative with your shots. I have always loved storytelling in every form but the visual aspect, I’ve always felt a connection to. I feel very lucky to have creative-type parents who let my imagination run wild throughout my childhood. I feel as though it’s something I’ve kept with me along the way.

Matt: I was always an artistic and adventurous kid. In 5th grade I moved to a new school district and met a friend whose parents owned a camcorder–they allowed us to make silly videos. The entire process of bringing a story to life and entertaining people was exhilarating. That changed my life. My love and appreciation of filmmaking has only grown since then, and I thank my parents for noticing my interest and always encouraging me to pursue my creative endeavors.

Brad: I was a rambunctious kid who loved to perform. I grew up in front of the camera, and now prefer to be behind it. My grandfather had a collection of cameras he brought home from WWII that fascinated me and ultimately led to my passion for photography (and shooting film when possible!). The intersection of storytelling and visual arts makes working with Sky Media the perfect medium for me.
