Meet SpaceNTime from South Bay LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to SpaceNTime.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Space. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My story, well I’m definitely a weird wacko one born in Los Angeles on Sep 6, 1989 and grew up here and in Seattle before moving back permanently to LA. I got into making beats because I always wanted to know how people made hip hop music from a young age. The simplicity yet intricate nature of the music is what I chased. Less is always more

First person I started working with was my current (day 1 homie) recording engineer through myspace back when I was in high school. We hit it off right away and both had a crazy work ethic. So we just hustled together for years with really no expectation it was all for the love of the music and we enjoyed it. How I got where I am today (which still aint S*** haha) is just hustling and crafting and spitting out product. Then re-evaluating and going back to the drawing board and to re synthesize it all till we got the flow down. Syphon introduced me to Pacman Da Gunman (All Money In) back in 2015 while I was still finishing up my degree in mechanical engineering. I showed him some beats and from there, we just built chemistry and over time had this dope unique sound you couldn’t make up.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not a smooth road at all, there were times I’d want to quit and just try something else but it came to a point where thats what I’d find myself going back and doing regardless. Main struggles is always family trying to tell you it ain’t worth it or the type of music you do is false because it’s not a symphony haha. I was always a nonconformist type so regardless of what people said I stayed the course.

Over time you realize the people who have the most opinions are usually doing the least in their own lives. I’d have my dude Syph tell me not to quit and not waste your talent on numerous occasions. It was honestly the only support system I had.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a music producer/composer first and foremost. I’m most known for producing a good portion of the beats on All money in’s artist Pacman Da Gunman’s album’s. Most recent are No guts no Glory and 60th st both were released this past year.

What sets me apart is the concept and look of my brand and the sound of my music is unique and is fully me. I pride myself in writing all my beats from a perspective thats true to me and in order to do that, you gotta write the melodies/beats/drums yourself I feel. There’s always exceptions though but sticking to it allowed me to fall into my own sound that just can’t be made up.

I got my official website going up this month (Jan 2020) spacentimeclothing.com.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Dedication and Hunger. The rest falls into place.
