Meet Soyria Giraud

Today we’d like to introduce you to Soyria Giraud.

Hi Soyria, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I moved to the United States from St. Thomas U.S.V.I. then lived on the east coast. I relocated to Los Angeles almost five years ago with my partner after I was offered a position with an architectural & construction project management team working for one of the biggest tech companies in the world. Although my professional career has flourished and provided me with a level of comfort most can only dream of, there was always a part of me that knew that it wouldn’t allow me to fully tap into my creativity.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although it hasn’t always been this way, with Covid-19 causing everyone to work remotely time has been one of the biggest struggles. Working from home full-time has brought out a new set of obstacles that have made me hyper aware of how quickly time can escape me. I am more vigilant than ever when it comes to scheduling and creating space that allows me to focus on my brand SPLY (Supply) and the creative projects my clients bring to me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
SPLY (Supply) is black woman-owned creative studio based in Los Angeles CA. Specializing in Brand Development, Web Design, Package Design, Social Media Kits, Motion Graphics and so much more. While creating SPLY, I found that there was a disconnect between small BIPOC businesses and access to high-level branding & packaging. Oftentimes businesses will have an amazing product but lack the knowledge or resources to elevate their brand to a trustable level of e-commerce. SPLY hopes to provide that connection at an affordable price-point.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Trust the process. I may have taken a “non-traditional” path while creating SPLY but I’m a firm believer in manifesting your future and allowing life to run its course. Because of decisions made in my past, I was able to be in a position today where I can create something that will help other entrepreneurs grow and succeed.
