Today we’d like to introduce you to Soulaire.
Soulaire, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started out working as an intern for a blog, which landed me opportunities as a fashion stylist. With music always being my passion. I kept my eyes on the prize, and here we are now.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The journey to success is never easy there is no elevator. Your almost always guaranteed to have to take the stairs. LA is very clique-ish. So it’s not always about talent but who you know or who does or doesn’t like you. I’ve had people in powerful positions that I thought would support that actually tried sabotaging and blackballing.
We’d love to hear more about what you do.
I am an indie music artist. I’m releasing my debut epi. 2019 with two amazing visuals that will come out the top of the year. I also produce a fashion show annually called Soul Slayze where I highlight the hottest up and coming designers and independent music artists. For a night of music and fashion.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was 50% introvert 50% extrovert. I was very mature for my age. Most of my friends were generally older than me. I’ve always had a passion for music and fashion.
