Meet Solé Weller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Solé Weller.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Growing up with yogi parents and being raised a vegetarian, I have always been blessed with good health and well-being most of my life. About seven years ago, I experienced my first health crisis: I was suffering from adrenal fatigue and my energy along with my motivation, ability to focus, and overall zest for life was incredibly low. Interestingly this all also coincided with the purchase of my first iPhone. I noticed that I was experiencing a sense of being constantly fragmented like I just couldn’t feel connected and whole in the same way I did before my smartphone was glued to me. The constant distraction of so many incoming messages, videos, songs, pictures, apps, etc. was overwhelming and I was having trouble re-charging, even when my phone was off. Eager to get well, I saw many doctors, healers, and tried as many supplements, diets, practices, and protocols that I could. Several years passed along with thousands of dollars invested and nothing seemed to be working: I couldn’t sleep more than 4 hours a night and constantly felt tired and dull. The cumulative effect of several years of severe adrenal stress was unbearable and impacting every area of my life.

I have been a yoga teacher and healer for over 15 years and am well aware of our bodies’ innate ability to heal itself along with the profound assistance of eastern energetic practices such as yoga, acupuncture, qi gong, prayer, breathwork, etc. Because of my fatigue, I was too drained for anything physically demanding so my go-to practice became a deep relaxation technique known as yoga nidra. For me, this practice is more accessible than meditation because the body is supine and supported with cozy blankets and pillows.

In about 30 minutes of practicing yoga nidra my body receives the deep organ healing roughly equivalent to 3 hours of REM sleep. Through systematic deep relaxation we enter what’s known as a hypnagogic state where the brain is malleable enabling direct access to the subconscious mind. Deep-seeded limiting beliefs and unhealthy patterning are revealed and new neural pathways that incline us towards improved cognition, memory and mood are established. As you can imagine, the results are life-changing! Another profound benefit is that when we practice being truly effortless, we experience the freedom of letting go: in the body, in the mind, and in the spirit. True transformation exists here. This practice has become not only my healing salvation but something I look forward to daily because it feels so nourishing to be supported this deeply.

My other refuge for healing and transformation is nature. She is my greatest teacher and beloved ally. There is nothing like nature’s embrace for true clarity and insight. Its as if my own inner wisdom, guidance, and direction are magnified by the power of the forest and animals. Ditching my iPhone, planting my barefeet on the earth, breathing deeply, and getting quiet inside is how I access what’s true for me.

With consistent practice of yoga nidra coupled with plenty of time in nature, I began to feel strong in my body and more resilient in my heart and mind. I began healing from years of adrenal fatigue and insomnia. I was able to sleep soundly for 7-8 hours again and felt my youthful spirit being restored. Today at age 39, I am stronger and more vibrant than ever and have learned how to turn pain into purpose. I want everyone to experience the grace of inner transformation, so I have dedicated my life to sharing the technology and sacred practice of yoga nidra.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
My goal is to make ancient esoteric spiritual wisdom highly accessible and contemporary while honoring the potency and efficacy of the original teachings. I emphasize simplicity, so the practices are impactful with lasting results. Believe me, even with as little as 5 minutes a day, the healing begins. I specialize in stress-reduction techniques including, yoga asana & yoga nidra, deep relaxation, meditation, and breathwork. I lead private and group classes both online and in person. It’s important to me that this information is widely accessible for the public so I have a lot of free content available to access at home or on the go. Much of that is uploaded onto my page on InsightTimer, a free meditation app and included on my website. I also offer weekly live streams so you can experience a sense of community and group healing in the comfort of your own home. For those who want a deeper dive into personal transformation, I lead several courses and training each year. I’ve learned that even in our darkest places, we can still touch the light. I live for connection and the joy of sharing our human experience together, so please reach out and share your story with me as well.

I look forward to creating a healing sanctuary and retreat where people can come to connect to the spirit of the land, enjoy getting dirty in the garden, and experience the healing of these stress-reduction modalities.
