Today we’d like to introduce you to Shiva Moradfar.
Shiva, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started manufacturing the beanies in Los Angeles when I was going through chemo. I started putting embroideries on my beanies and wore them to my chemo appointments and people liked them, so they asked me to design more. They appreciated the quality of the beanies. So, that’s how my business started in Santa Monica.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been very difficult branding and advertising my beanies and getting it in front of proper consumers.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Dmchodesign – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My company is special because I have been through cancer myself and have lost my hair and I wanted to provide the best quality beanie that is soft to the touch but also stylish.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am looking and hoping for having my stylish and comfy hat to be known to people that are going through cancer.
