Meet Shay Navarro (PAPERmaSHAY) in Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shay Navarro (PAPERmaSHAY)

Shay, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m a born & raised west coast Cali girl from the orange country to the IE (inland empire) to LA, I moved around, so I’m that girl. You could catch me at the most underground warehouse party (preferable HAM) to a Grammy party with Jay Z. Being social in LA in both ends of the spectrum, I’ve gain a lot of inspiration & that truly makes me who I am a lil gutta, a lil classy. I always had a thing for expressing myself. While also being innovative through my art. Weather it’s dance, music, fashion or being a cannabis advocate. It’s all art to me. I’ve had businesses such as a joint rolling paper company where I collab with a fairfax legend Nick diamonds of diamond supply co. & many other clothing lines, rappers & dispensaries. Right now, I’m geared towards fashion with my brand @brattywear that totally embodies all my attributes an extra classy bad bitch that isn’t afraid to stage dive that’s who these clothes are for. Showstopper! I’m really for the people!

Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing is ever smooth. You got to be prepared for obstacles like you’re doing parkour. You’ll figure it out.

Please tell us more about your business.
I’ve had a lot of entrepreneurial endeavors. From my joint rolling paper company to my personal PAPERmaSHAY brand, now to my fashion brand @brattywear a line for that classy bad bitch type of girl that isn’t afraid to stage dive but wants to stop the room when she walks in. This company embodies that.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love being able to go to slauson swapmeet pick up some gold bamboo earrings then all of the sudden be at a party with A-list celebrities then go for late night tacos at king taco or cactus. Then to the beach the next day to recover from the night before. That’s what’s great about LA. I love being a so-cal west coast chick!
