Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaul Eini.
Shaul, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I arrived to the United States 5 years ago with plans of starting a new life and was looking for something that I could resell. My phone bill was very expensive every month, so I was looking for cheap service. I discovered that dealers are getting the phone packages for very cheap from the cellular providers to be able to attract clients, so I bought sim cards as a dealer and started my own free website just to have something to advertise. I was looking for dealers from other countries that may be interested in those sim cards and I built good relationship with them.
Today, I am a T-Mobile authorized reseller (as well as other companies) and have clients from China, South Korea, Taiwan, Brazil, Australia, Israel and more. I can offer sim cards to more than 100 countries. I also supply sim cards to groups and individuals who travel and I have so many new ideas on how to improve the business all the time.
When it comes to customer service, I always think about what Warren Buffet said: Don’t just satisfy your customers – delight them.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There is no such thing as a ‘smooth road’ when you start a business unless you have someone taking care of your bills while you’re trying to stay above water.
It was and still is hard and when it will get easier, I will probably think that something is wrong because when it’s easy that means you’re not making progress. Going up is always hard and is what makes you stronger and better.
It’s never easy to sell your products when you don’t have any history or experience behind you. Every potential client thinks you’re just a scammer who is trying to sell and they can’t trust you. I am not just selling a product that you can forget about it after you sold it, I am selling a product that needs to be activated after it was sold and work without issues during the time it’s working and work all the way until the last minute that the client is using it.
For those reasons, a lot of dealers cannot put their trust in someone so fast it takes time to foster that relationship and build trust.
If you want people to trust you then you must keep your word no matter what.
Another struggle was to keep paying the bills while you don’t have enough income from this newborn business. So, you must work for someone else and deal with other stuff and this business that you believe in so much must be your side business and not the main thing that you do. It was simply not feasible for this to be my main source of income in the beginning so I had to find other sources of income.
On top of all that, I was working from home at that time and watching my baby on the days my wife worked. I had to watch and entertain the baby, oftentimes putting him in a baby carrier on me while I worked on the computer or made phone calls. It was hard trying to grow my business when I could not dedicate 100% of myself to it.

My company sells sim cards with prepaid packages of data, calls, and texts messages to travelers. I started with selling to travelers that are visiting the US and now, I also have sim cards that are working in many other countries as well. I offer free shipping worldwide and I have a very strict policy about cancellations and returns. The policy basically says that you can cancel the purchase at any time and you get 100% of your payment back – No questions asked.
I specialize in giving excellent customer service. I do my best and beyond to delight my clients and even clients that were very angry, for whatever reason, calmed down after I talked with them and they told me that they are very happy with the service they received and would recommend my business to others. In general, 100% of my business is recommendations since I don’t advertise anywhere. It takes longer to succeed that way, but it has strong foundations at the same time, better than advertising.
I’m very proud that I have managed to get this far and I see today, looking back, that it was worth every second of effort and struggle. As I said earlier, I’m still building my business and looking at ways to improve. It gives me much pride to see how I have grown my business from the ground up and I am excited to see where I can take it in the future.
I can name few things that set me apart from others. First, customer service, customer service, customer service. I never met someone that invests in customer service like I do. I go the extra 100 miles if needed. One time I drove 60 miles to a client to ensure that he received his sim card on time. I was lucky that he was only 60 miles away and not 600 or 3000 miles away.
Second, the prices that you see on the website are the prices you pay, no hidden fees, no tax added, no shipping cost (unless you need expedited shipping), no sim card cost. You pay ONE price and that includes everything.
Lastly, I work 6 days a week. I am a religious Jew and I observe the Sabbath. Every week, I’m offline for 26 hours, give or take, and sometimes there are Jewish holidays that last 3 days and I must be offline. I built myself a system that knows how to activate sim cards automatically while I’m offline, so I’m good on that part. I also notify all my clients that I will not be able to assist during that time and never had a problem with that before.
What were you like growing up?
As long as I remember myself, I was always looking to be different from others, I always thought how to do the same thing everyone is doing but different. I didn’t want to be like everyone else. Even today, I see other dealers doing things that I did a year ago, they just found about it now. I’m always trying to stay a few steps ahead and am always thinking outside the box.
I am a very tech-savvy, I used to take computers apart and assemble them again when I was younger. I repaired all my stuff myself and repaired things for others all the time. I taught myself how to repair almost anything from things in the house to electronics. If I didn’t know how to fix it, I would google or watch a youtube video and teach myself.
