Meet Shana Eva of Heart On Radio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shana Eva.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I guess my story begins first with how I was raised… My mother ran psychic fairs in the 1980’s on Long Island, New York, which was pretty ballsy at that time. But there was no YouTube then, or very many ways for her to study these outrageous topics she was curious about.

So, she decided to produce her own events in order to learn more and connect with like-minded people. They ended up being extremely successful and she was even credited with discovering the now world-renowned medium, John Edward, (“Crossing Over with John Edward” – Sci-Fi channel), which he mentions in his book. So to say the least, I was raised in a very unorthodox and unusual household where talk of UFO’s, psychic phenomena and paranormal activity were just another Tuesday night.

But it was on a trip to Israel in 2013 where I experienced my first spiritual awakening of my adult life. I had been going down the rabbit hole studying yoga, meditation, astrology, numerology, etc… really starting to ask the bigger questions in life.

This then led to bigger and bigger revelations about the way the cosmos, society, and human consciousness really work. I, therefore, felt called to share more about what I was learning. So, I decided to use my background in media and entertainment to begin a spiritually focused radio show called, Heart On Radio. (If the name makes you giggle, you got the joke. 😉 I now interview an assortment of professionals on a variety of metaphysical topics.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The challenge has been more a lesson in the ego than anything else. As an actress, I was able to hide behind each character, but now, I am challenged to be authentic and speak my truth on some really “out there” topics. It was a scary decision to “come out of the Spiritual closet” and run the risk of losing opportunities or facing backlash within my field of profession.

However, I am infinitely grateful to be living in a time where I feel people are more open-minded and curious than ever. With the amount of violence, illness, hunger, hate, segregation, poverty, etc. happening on our planet, it’s alarmingly obvious that things are WAY out of alignment. People are ready for a change and my hope is to be a conduit for inspiring just that.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Heart On Radio – what should we know?
Each episode, we tackle a different metaphysical topic with a specialist in its field. So everything from Shamanism to Past Life Regression Therapy, to Astral Projection within the dream state. I feel our specialty is taking a more light-hearted approach to some spiritually heavy topics. It’s my nature to try and put people at ease and inject humor into everything, but some of our discussions can be pretty hard-hitting.

For instance, one episode focused on healing the Inner Child… and that in and of itself can tap into some pretty gnarly stuff. Most of the dysfunctionality or repetitive issues we experience in our adult lives has a direct link to some type of traumatic experience we encountered during our childhood. So although this can be a challenging area to look at, I feel we always try to approach each topic in a positive, uplifting and empowering way.

I am most proud that this is a completely non-profit company created with the sole purpose of inspiring love and unity consciousness. We also share Oracle Card readings for the collective each episode which we then go into more depth on via our Instagram and Facebook channels. I too believe we do a pretty nice job of sharing content that both a newly awakened person and/or a spiritually wise person can really get something from.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I feel the down-to-earth playful approach we take to our programming is key. Whether there’s a blooper or we’re tackling severe topics, doesn’t matter.

When we keep the focus on, are we having fun? Are we learning something? Do we feel more empowered and excited about life? If we can answer “yes” to all those questions, we’re a success!
