Meet Saundra Marie Ramirez of SMRSSS P.I.C

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saundra Marie Ramirez.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My professional career begins with me realizing I had lost my VALUE. I was a College Graduate. I was a Married Women. I was a Mother, now 8 months pregnant with our 7th child, Although my life appeared Full, my VALUE was lost! I remember washing clothes and noticed there were blues… browns… blacks… grays… but NO PINKS… PURPLES – you know, colors that represent… me.

Shortly after this awareness, I was invited to a MARY KAY Party. I didn’t know what to expect, still, I knew I wanted to support my friend. I arrived at a group of about 10 or more Beautiful Women… smiling… giddy… and inviting! The Mary Kay Director, Lynnae Bowen (still my director and friend today!) was Professional and Sharp! We were educated about Self Worth and that Skin Care was a Good place to start. We engaged in Product Application and Fun Activities. My Spirits were lifted and my sense of VALUE was revived! I later realized I was in The MARY KAY PINK (not just a color but an ATTITUDE. 🙂 BUBBLE! I was ALL IN and READY to START my MARY KAY JOURNEY. With Parties & Facials, we ENRICH WOMEN’S LIVES ONE FACE AT A TIME.

One HUGE reason I stay in MARY KAY is because it’s a Business that Gives Back! Over 5 million dollars a years goes directly to Domestic Violence Prevention (we have tools to help people connect with community resources), Cancer Research & Treatment, and Local Community Projects. This is dear and True to me for a lot of losing my value had to do with domestic violence in my life from my childhood to adulthood.

As a child, I experienced my Father suffering from alcoholism. There were times when he was physically abusive – not with me or my siblings, but he would be horrific with Mom. Other times, I remember many evenings I waited with Mom by the window waiting for Dad to return home, yet he chose to neglect is home responsibilities to be in the streets. I do have Good memories when Dad took Good Care of us, but it wasn’t consistent.

When I was eleven years old, I lost Dad to pneumonia! Lots of confusion went through my mind, still, Mom helped us to carry on. Mom was Encouraging. She told us things like, “You are my Princess and Princes” “You can accomplish anything”. She also supported our biblical faith. Yet, there were some inconsistencies with Mom. She was overly protected. She loved children but shied away from adult friendships. At times, her communication was very negative and offense.

When one of my brothers turned 18 years old he passed on. He suffered from a blood illness, which was difficult to diagnose. At this, Mom’s symptoms worsened. She began to overtly hallucinate, speak out vulgarly and increased her alcohol intake. She would not see a doctor for she believed all doctors were out to kill her. A day came when she had an aneurysm from high & uncontrolled blood pressure for over a decade. She was in a semi-coma for 8 years and passed on one and a half years ago.

Lastly, my hubbie and I had every reason to divorce. Mental Issues, Drug addiction, Domestic Violence, Fidelity Issues, Children born out of Fidelity Issues, and The Entertainment Industry were significant factors that we chose to figure out together for the success of our future and God’s Plan for us. Mary Kay Philosophy, Concepts, Structure, Tools, Education, Affirmations – The PINK BUBBLE – wasn’t only Good for me but my Family… especially Hubbie!

The MARY KAY vehicle has been a Great opportunity to Connect with Women, Encouraging VALUE in Women, and Strengthening Families. My Business, SMRSSS P.I.C. offers Quality Products and now Services to promote your IMAGE. We want to help you LOVE THE SKIN YOU’RE IN and PUT YOUR BEST FACE FORWARD!!!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

*continuing education/training.
In my field, completing my college education was important to me. I had 3 successful pregnancies before receiving my degree! Also, I need to stay current with product trends, ingredients, applications, and warnings. Life is always happening and making time to educate oneself to better serve others may not be convenient. Still, if you want it, you will get it DONE!

*Family members with mental illness, substance abuse, fidelity issues… are not easy to cope with. Yet, with good support systems and community resources, you can make the best decisions for you with no regrets and achieve your goals for success.

*mastering networking:
All businesses grows with more clients. A good way to grow clients is to strengthen your relationships – networking. There are various ways to do so. Pick One or Two that connect with you and go ALL OUT! Remember what worked a year or two ago may not work for the next three or five… stay current and be wise.

*RA and FM symptoms:
Auto-immune deficiencies are serious issues that can last for years. For me, it’s been decades! I appreciate western medicine, still, I choose Holistic Wellness Approach. I have an M.D. for my general health needs. I have a HOLISTIC PRACTITIONER for my RA & FM needs. I use essential oils, spices, liquid, collagen, omega 6 & omega 3 oils and plants as directed. I hike 2 to 3 times a week and recently engaged in yoga twice a week. Eat Clean and Stay Active!

*Self Talk:
Can be so negative… and so draining… defeating our goals for success. Daily affirmations and bible scriptures help me stay focused to achieve and succeed in my goals. Stay Inspired!
