Meet Sasha Perelman of Revolver in Marina Del Rey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sasha Perelman.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My career creating experiences for people started in high school and evolved into the luxury beauty space. After “doing it all” in events, I didn’t feel in alignment with my higher purpose. My cousin said “why don’t you start your own agency?” and I thought he was crazy. A year later, unhappy about my job, I started Revolver as a side hustle. I called everyone I knew to drum up business.

Nearly five years later, we’re working with some of the top global brands, designing multi-sensorial experiences for our clients. I also found my higher purpose in the cannabis industry – shaping a new narrative around cannabis wellness and lifestyle. Back in 2017, Rolling Stone coined our event “The Best Pot Party in California”. That was epic. Today we continue to work with clients revolutionizing their industries from clean beauty to sexual wellness. I’m currently in the process of launching a new lifestyle brand, Forward, merging experiential with education and promoting conscious consumerism with plant medicine.

Has it been a smooth road?
I had no idea how to run a business, but it’s true what they say about ‘learning by fire’. Countless hours, rejection, acceptance, doubt, excitement, failures and successes – I’ve experienced more growth in this venture than my career barely scratched the surface of. Building a company requires resilience, patience, trust, grit and most importantly support. Without the support of my family, friends and other badass female entrepreneurs, I would have gone nowhere fast.

Failure doesn’t mean you stop – it means pivot. It’s so important to pivot. What my business was when it started to what it is today is completely different.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Revolver – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I LOVE living in LA, particularly in Marina Del Rey. Coming from NYC, you can’t beat the weather, the view and the quiet!

I miss the convenience and accessibility of NY. LA is super big and spread out which means it takes a while to go…everywhere. Oh and traffic 🙂
