Meet Samira Nosrati of Samira Weddings and Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samira Nosrati.

Samira, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in Iran in an artistic family. I am a third generation high-end catering business with high quality, home-made food.

When I migrated to the US in 2005, I had to follow my passion and continue the family tradition. I started small in the Persian community by setting up Sofreh Aghd (Persian Wedding Ceremonial Setup) and every year, I expanded my business a little bit. Fast forward 12 years, I run a full-service catering company with food and desert services, valet parking, floral arrangements, bartenders, servers and party rentals.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Overall, it has been a fun journey. My biggest challenge is having a different and unique display idea and design for every single client. In this line of business, there is a lot of competition at different levels and in order to stand out, I have to always come up with something that will set me apart from my competition.

Please tell us about Samira Weddings and Events.
Samira Weddings and Events is a full-service catering company. We provide home-made, high quality, high-end food and dessert services. We also provide valet parking, floral arrangements, bartenders, servers and party rentals to weddings and events. I specialize in food art, making a very unique, artistic display and arrangements of foods and desserts.

I love what I do and I never looked at it as a business when I started it. This was and is my passion and is a way for me to express my creativity and show my artistic side through food and design. I am proud of my art and I am known for my attention to details.

It is easy to get a restaurant or a company to cater food to your event or wedding. But there are not that many companies who can do it in style and be visually pleasing using luxury and high end serving dishes. That’s what sets me apart from others.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I am in love with what I am doing and what I have accomplished so far.
