With more than 20 years in the business, Samantha has produced some of the most noteworthy and spectacular events the industry has ever seen. From high profile movie premieres and corporate events to product launches and social events, Samantha and her team at THE FIRM EVENT DESIGN are constantly innovating and exceeding client’s expectations. A few recent examples of note include the Brooks Brothers Centennial celebration at Jazz at Lincoln Center; the Casamigos Annual Halloween party at the former Tower Records on Sunset; the Red Sparrow global premiere and after party in New York at Alice Tully Hall and the famed Russian Tea Room; and the Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Just to name a few.
And her businesses have continued to exceed growth expectations as well. She is also the owner and CEO of designer8* Event Furniture Rental which she launched in 2006. Built from the ground up, designer8* offers a wide variety of furniture, accessories and scenic elements for the event industry. Her collections expanded and grew to fulfill the increased need for event furniture across the industry. Now, designer8* has warehouses on both coasts servicing all areas of California, neighboring Western states and up and down the East Coast. While constantly expanding inventory to meet large orders and maintaining the condition of each piece, Samantha has developed an immense selection of high-quality furniture ranging in styles from traditional to mid-century modern and just about everything in between. With a depth of inventory and the ability to create custom pieces, designer8* truly has something for every occasion.
Samantha is also a partner in Infinity Marketing Team, who handles amazing activations and events for brands such as HP, Intel and many more. The IMT team has done a tremendous job and received rave reviews for its ground-breaking installations at Coachella, SXSW, CES and VRLA.
As the owner of several successful companies, Samantha strives to continually diversify and grow with the trends and the times. She has built an incredibly talented team with decades of experience and expertise working with some of the most high-profile properties and personalities in the business. And she isn’t done yet. She has ambitious growth plans both nationally and internationally and many new technological advances in the works.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The event industry is continuously evolving so we are constantly being faced with opportunities to leverage new technology, new venues and new ways of engaging our guests. We have been very lucky on the design front as well, but we sometimes generate greater buzz than we anticipate and do not have enough inventory to meet growing demand. We continue to design and manufacture trendsetting collections to ensure we are staying fresh and delivering a huge depth of inventory to our incredibly demanding consumer base.
Samantha owns both THE FIRM Event Design and Designer8* Event Furniture Rental. – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
THE FIRM has produced over 1,000 events globally including high-profile premieres, after-parties, award shows, product launches, technology demos, mobile marketing tours and red carpets. We offer a wide range of services including graphic design, styling, draping, floral design, lighting, rendering, seating, ticketing and more. We can manage every aspect from concept to execution and bring your vision to life. Our client roster encompasses the fields of entertainment, technology, fashion, non-profit, hospitality, automotive, music, sports, social and weddings.
Our furniture has been at some of the most noteworthy and spectacular events the industry has ever seen such as the Oscars, Emmys and Grammys. From high profile movie premieres and product launches to corporate events and weddings, we are constantly innovating and exceeding client’s expectations.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
We live by the creed “Create & Innovate” and our clients come to us (and stay with us) because we are constantly doing so. We know that we are only as good as our last event so we strive to push ourselves and exceed expectations every step of the way!
