Meet Sam Parham

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Parham.

Sam, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I studied Business Marketing at the University of Portsmouth in England. Whilst at University I began practicing the Art of Movement – Parkour. By the time I had completed my Business Studies Degree, I was already a part of the World’s premiere Parkour Performance team – 3RUN. As a team of like-minded professional performance athletes, we were fortunate enough to be traveling the world performing live shows from India to Brazil as we developed our skills and shared new videos across the Internet.

After working on a commercial in Spain, I worked with a British Stunt Coordinator who introduced me to the Stunt Industry in the UK. After honing my skills across Climbing, High Diving, Gymnastics, Scuba Diving and Martial Arts, I began working on movies including Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise, World War Z with Brad Pitt and the highlight of my Stunt Career; working with Jackie Chan on the Foreigner.

Pursuing a career in the Entertainment industry lead me to Los Angeles, California, where I continued to perform stunts across Movies, Commercials, and Live Events. I since established a Production Company with my Business Partner, where we now produce Branded Commercials and Content.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There has been so many struggles along the way. Learning the necessary skills for the Stunt Register took two solid years. During that time, I failed many times and continued to get back up on the journey. I worked on a number of Business Concepts, many of which unfortunately didn’t make it. I continue to adapt and explore new opportunities.

What else should our readers know?
As a Self Employed Stunt Performer, my work involves performing action and stunts for Film, Tv and live shows.

I specialize in Parkour and have been able to achieve 3 Guinness World Records, as well as a Screen Actors Guild awards for my involvement in the Stunt Team on Wonder Woman.

I was able to Stunt Double on Jackie Chan’s movie – The Foreigner, in which I had a one on one fight scene with Jackie which was an absolute career highlight.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success truly is whatever you make of it. Success to me is happiness and experience. To live a life experiencing as many things as I can. Money is the freedom credits to be able to enjoy and experience all those things.
