Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Perrings.
Ryan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My story began when I left New Mexico and moved to attend university in Las Vegas in 2004. At the age of 21, I started in the nightlife industry with Tao Las Vegas as a promoter bringing guests to the venue as a way to make an income while going to school. With the recession in full swing and an extremely competitive environment, I was hired by Wynn Las Vegas and was awarded a role on the opening team of XS Nightclub as a VIP Host in 2008. In 2009, I became one of the main door hosts for XS all while working during the week in the marketing department and helping launch the brand’s social media accounts.
In 2010, I was selected to be part of a small team and I moved to LA to open Drai’s Hollywood which was my first time being involved in Los Angeles nightlife scene on a professional level. I moved back to Las Vegas after launching the brand and helping streamline the opening. Never one for complacency, I continued to search for new opportunities. With the rise of dance music and nightly performances I routinely suggesting up and coming artists for bookings that found international success, I took on the role Artist Relations Manager in 2012. Utilizing my love of music and passion for creating amazing experiences and events my career continued to flourish and I was promoted to Director of Entertainment for Wynn Nightlife in 2013.
It also afforded me the opportunity to work with many of the top artists in music. While holding the role the property held over 350 shows a year and. In 2017, I departed the role to assume Executive Director of Talent Marketing for Station Casinos. In addition to running the entertainment for the property, I ran the Los Angeles outreach program. I split time between both cities and this program consisted of ensuring Stations was the preeminent destination for Southern California guests. After many years working within the corporate structure of resorts and living between Las Vegas and LA it felt like the right to launch my own business and be able to work with many accounts and people around the world. I departed the role in August 2019 to launch The Brightside Agency and base full time in LA.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road to rolling out the business has been relatively smooth. The challenges now lie in scaling the business and taking on the right accounts. Time management is the critical facet of my business as I am personally involved in every booking and event. The goal is for everything in booking and working with talent being streamlined and easier. That requires a very hands-on personal touch. One of the core tenants of the business is to be available and reachable no matter the time or day.
The Brightside Agency – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is living every day to the fullest and finding meaning in your work. To be happy with how you spend your time and make a difference in people’s experience is impactful. The happiness that comes from an event that goes well or putting on an amazing show is a such an awesome feeling. Music and events can change people’s lives and create memories for a lifetime. Helping facilitate that is what success means to me.
