Meet Rugby Wild

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rugby Wild.

Rugby, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m from Newark, NJ & also grew up in Baltimore, MD. I’ve been making music as long as I can remember, from making up raps in the lunchroom from elementary to high school. I moved to NY after graduating high school. I started doing shows there for about three years before moving out to LA, where I learned how to make beats/act.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road had been anything but smooth I’ve had close friends become snakes, I’ve had record deals not go through At the last minute, shady Managers, etc.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I rap, produce, direct, model & creative consultant on the side. I specialize & I’m known for music. I’m proud of the commercial placements I’ve gotten for my songs and the amount of streams I was able to get in the past year.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see my industry expanding in the next few years becoming more creative in ways we interact with our fans. Also, there are certain genres of music that have been slept on in the past few years and now I think their resurgence is inedible.
