Today we’d like to introduce you to Rossi Rado.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve been recording music for a little over five years now but ever since a kid I would always write and record verses on my phone. I would always freestyle in backyard parties during high school, so a couple of years after high school one of my best friends who’s also another up and coming artist by the name of Growdy showed me the ropes of setting up my own home recording studio. I used to record music at his house while I was setting up my own home studio. In the five years that I’ve been recording music, I’ve dropped seven mixtapes and I’m in the process of dropping my 8th project this year.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nah, it’s been far from a smooth road. I’ve struggled to writers block a few times and that’s because I rap about what I’m really doin or what I’ve really been through. I don’t like makin music about things that I’ve never done, never seen or never been through. So writing music can get a little tricky sometimes because I don’t wanna sound repetitive in songs, I also feel like being Hispanic/Mexican in the hip-hop/rap game can make it a little more difficult to breakthrough.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I feel like my sound is authentic and original. I like makin music about wakin up every single day and gettin to the hustle regardless of what it is. My everyday motto is WAKE PRAY GRIND.
I have 7 mixtapes out now which can be found on DatPiff, SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music and all other music streaming platforms. I’m currently focused on finishing my 8th mixtape “GUNS N ROSES” which will be droppin on October 24th and I’m also focusing on doin a couple shows before the year is over.
