Meet Rob Graveley, Danny Cadiz, and Max Cogert of Bearwulf

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rob Graveley, Danny Cadiz, and Max Cogert.

We’d love to hear the story of how you guys got started.
Bearwulf started on 2nd Street in Long Beach through a chance meeting of Rob and Danny while playing on the sidewalk. Max has been with us for three years now, and we met him through the local Long Beach music scene. We have been working the LA/OC club circuits and some regional touring slowly crawling through every dive the west has to offer.

Has it been a smooth road?
We have been through many variations of band members and spent the better part of 6 years finding this current line up. We started as buskers and street performers in and around Long Beach and have paid all the dues that go along with street performance. Hand to mouth as a songwriter is just how it is and we have never been upset about that part. Doing what you love and keeping the lights on takes everything you have and has its downside but its always worth it driving home ears ringing covered in sweat. We are happy to have the Max, Danny, Rob situation and we thrive on driving each other nuts.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
We are a rock and roll power trio out of Long Beach, California and we are known for vivid live performance, roaring energy, and soulful songwriting and delivery. Southern Rock, Americana, Blues, Jazz, Soul, and Funk are our specialties, and we weave all of them into one multi-faceted jewel of American style.

We have tons of original material and are looking to find placement in film and television. Our songwriting, live chops, and showmanship are what sets us apart from other acts. We will not leave until you have a good time damn it.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Music is in a major shift toward live performance and the total dominance of YouTube and streaming services. Being a great live act is paramount in the internet age, and we are primed to take advantage of our skills in that arena.

We are a band that offers a different ride at every show while giving you exactly what you came for. Being an entertainer has always been important so I can’t say its a trend, but it is what it takes to make it, and we are always working toward the next opportunity.
