Today we’d like to introduce you to Zee Will.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m a recording artist from Fresno, CA. I started in my hometown performing at clubs and small events with my brothers and DJ ( Dj D Soto ). Got enough buzz in the city and started performing at bigger shows and festivals in and outside of the area. It’s been about seven years and now I feel like I’m still scratching the surface of it all.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being in music definitely has its ups and downs. You have your high moments when everything is clicking with the music & shows. Then next, you can get hit with setbacks and figuring out your next move and innovative ways to brand your music while keeping the momentum. Family, friends, finances and day to day responsibilities play a big part in the journey.
What else should our readers know?
I’m an Artist, genre primarily hip hop/rap but I experiment with the sounds and melodies. My performances have always been a big staple for me. That’s how I first got my name out. What I feel makes me stand out is that I’m hands-on with everything when it comes to my brand and music. From the writing, recording, mixing & video editing. It can be very overwhelming but it allows me to express myself that much more creatively. Also, I take pride in setting up a great live show.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Being able to perform at the biggest venue in my hometown, Fresno Save Mart Center.
