Meet Rich (Habits) Rogers of Creative Habits Productions in Philadelphia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rich (Habits) Rogers.

Rich, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was working as a nursing assistant for three years and was feeling worn out made a few investments and was looking for one more, I was told by a close friend that my now business partner Sharif McFadden was looking for help getting his films out. After a few conversations and I was able to read the script to Invisible War, I felt like it was something I wanted to get into. I’ve dealt with the music industry some but always wanted to get into fil and this was my chance. Me and Sharif brainstormed and decided we wanted to put the film in AMC theaters and with a few phone calls, we made it happen in 2 different cities, Philly and New York.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Somewhat I’m still learning the business so we have taken baby steps until are next project “Where have all the flowers gone” is complete. I’m kind of a perfectionist so like everything to be in order and everyone on the same page.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Creative Habits Productions – what should we know?
Well, with Creative Habits Productions I executive produce the films and sometimes give lil input on the creating of the film. I also did a series with a friend by the name of ZaKee Kudoro how’s a Philly native but now reside in brazil Calle A’cabeca (Ah Ka bey Sá). I also started a real estate company earlier this year called Richabits Llc and was able to partner with a friend to form BYOB Philly which is a wine & beer delivery service that would up and running early 2020.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Being consistent and thinking outside the box, I feel being different gets you noticed more. Everyone is following the same suite and all you see is the same thing over and over, I didn’t want to fit in that category. At the end of the day, I know if I win, everyone that’s with me wins.
