Meet Renadda Wiggins of The Art of Runway

Today we’d like to introduce you to Renadda Wiggins.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started in Memphis, Tn directing a modeling agency. A lady by the name of Miss Thomas brought her daughter in, and she had down syndrome. She wanted her daughter to learn runway, so I created a one on one session with her.

In the midst of the 101 class, I’ve told her edit kit, self-confidence, and working out along with affirmations. Her name is Leah Thomas, she got so good I am Bob her with every other student that was a part of the agency. Leah started dating this young guy named Tammy, and she also joined Jenny Craig. Out the training Leah for four years I moved to Los Angeles and created a program called without limits for individuals with down syndrome autism and ADHD.

This is an ongoing six weeks program that in enhancing the confidence of individuals with those disabilities. I currently run three locations which are in North Hollywood, Rancho Cucamonga, and Newport Beach. We do my workshops, fashion shows, and we’re currently trying to expand to different retails to feature these individuals and different organizations that can feature them in their business. We just open up an academic program to try to get these individuals to book for jobs and get them paid.

Has it been a smooth road?
This has not been an easy ride. It will take more than just me to do this. Also, there are a few parents that have given up on their kid because of the disability. Some parents don’t know how to let go and let these individuals live a normal life, and then there is the money issue. It takes money to put things together.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Art of Runway – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
They aren’t a runway have, and I’m going for six weeks program the bills the confidence up in the bedroom walls with down syndrome, autism, and ADHD. We display these individuals in fashion shows, magazine, videos, newspapers, new stations, etc. We are not going to transport individuals and their families.

I am most proud of my three locations and seeing the majority of my kids grow into these individuals that people did not see it first. What sets us apart is we actually have, and we are actually trained and teach these individuals how to be free and be who they are in spite of.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like best about my city is there are enough people that I can teach and help to transform. What I dislike is the traffic trying to reach all of these people.
