Meet Rebecca Monoshevich

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Monoshevich. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Russian speaking American-born aesthetician & entrepreneur Rebecca Monoshevich launched Secret Service Beauty in 2013. She has worked in the Beauty Industry for nearly 15 years with some of your favorite faces of Hollywood including, Rita Ora, Nicole Kidman, Emma Roberts, Anna Getty, Cara Santana and many more. Her delicate and systematic approach has her clients always coming back for more of the hottest beauty treatments.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road starting and running Secret Service Beauty. We started with no money and didn’t take out one loan. Bootstrapping the business from the ground up was a constant struggle but worth all the time and energy along the way. We have tried and tested many forms of growth but the one that has stuck the longest and best has always been word of mouth. This is what has kept us growing and consistent. During the pandemic, we struggled to keep the business afload and open but ended up opening a secondary supply business to keep this business open. It has been a long journey to say the least.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Secret Service Beauty, I am an Owner/Esthetician. We specialize in waxing techniques that are less painful and get you the best results over time. We are known for the best in Brows and Brazilian waxing. We are most proud of our reputation over the years. What sets us apart is our willingness to listen to our client’s needs and wants rather then giving them something they don’t want. We are able to connect with our clients on a unique level to continue them coming back for their beauty services.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Yes! Throughout our journey, there have been a few key players that have been mentors! My friend and mentor Karen, Owner of WaxBar Seattle. She took me under her wing when she opened her salon and always maintained to teach me the importance of being a girlboss, making sure to have amazing customer service and that the customer is always right!

Secondly, My Friend/Mentor Marissa Fornier who was my manager at Wax Los Angeles before it was sold. She was always showing up and consistently showing what hard work looks like and that it’s important to build relationships over the years.

They helped build the knowledge and expertise I have today in running Secret Service Beauty.
