Today we’d like to introduce you to Raymond Vera.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Raymond. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in San Fernando Valley and I started making music out of high school around 97-98 and I took it really serious around 99-2000 when I started getting paid for my production, recording and mixing services I realized I can make a living off of it so I started working with anybody I could to get practice and better at My craft. Around 2007/2008, I got into videography and I started shooting music videos and now I shoot music videos for a lot of well-known artists.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I can’t see it’s been an easy road but I just kept grinding and working hard and things just started to fall in place and I just never give up.
Please tell us about WESTLYFE.
My production company is a West Coast company that specializes in production mixing and mastering recording, video production and podcast.
We are known for keeping it West Coast in everything we do from videos to music production.
What sets me apart from a majority of people is I’m Hands-On in everything I do and I won’t take on a project if I know I cant be involved 100%
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wouldn’t change too much of anything that I have done but I think I would have learned about the business aspect of music before I started making music.
