Today we’d like to introduce you to Breyden Moore.
Breyden, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well, I initially moved to Los Angeles in March of 2013 on a whim and had previous design & photography experience but when I moved to LA I really dived in and got connected with artists and creatives. My brother and I started our own production company which we do events and work with musicians making visuals with them so that just pushed me even more to network and create. Now I’ve been creating more concepts and working on making them a reality. I have some new projects lined up that I’m excited to start and share. My biggest focus with my work is the quality, I want people to see the time and effort put into everything I do.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, not at all. I mean LA is expensive to live in so it’s especially hard working toward/within an industry that is costly when it comes to editing, software, equipment etc. I’ve had my laptop die on me twice, my camera has given me issues so I had to find other ways of shooting and editing my projects which the struggle was definitely real. But you have to remain positive & surround yourself with good people. Luckily I have a good support system and people who had been willing to lend me their camera to fill that gap while I didn’t have my own equipment.
What role has luck had in your life and career?
Idk if I can consider it luck. But I’ve been fortunate enough to make some good connections and have people in my life that have given me great opportunities. To me, it’s not so much luck as it is making the right choices and surrounding yourself with people who you can build with and get great opportunity on each side
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I’d say being strong & determined are essential. People always have comments. People will always try to downplay what you do but it’s up to you to keep pushing and stay determined to reach the goals you set out for yourself. Without that, you’re not going to make it far
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the opportunity, coming from the Seattle area originally you don’t have the access to people and talent like you do in LA. So I’m very thankful for the various opportunities you get here. The thing I dislike is the disconnect from reality that a lot of people have here. People get caught up on fame, money & celebs and nobody actually respects the real important things in life. It’s kind of disheartening at times
