Meet Ramon Gallego

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ramon Gallego.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ramon. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Hello, my name is Ramon Gallego! Ever since I was young I loved the thought of being a model. About two years ago I finally decided to pursue my modeling career. It all started when a close friend of mine, Talae’ja, also wanted to pursue modeling. She sent me an ad for Preview Models and without a thought, I submitted to audition. Preview Models is a production company that puts you in front of top agencies in LA.

After getting to round two I joined the Preview Model family. The experience I had was unforgettable, on a runway ten feet in the air, 300 people in the audience, mentored by models from Americas Next Top Model and wonderful designers, I had a blast. After the show, I received two callbacks, although I wasn’t signed to either of them I still took my experience and found other agencies I could submit to.

After months of submitting to talent agencies, I found the one. I submitted, went to my audition with a positive mindset, and left the agency receiving my contract the next day. I have now been signed to The Young Agency! With the support of everyone in my life, I was able to accomplish a big goal of mine.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In the entertainment industry there are many obstacles and challenges. Currently, the biggest obstacle I’m facing is my height. As a male model, most agencies and talent companies would like you to be 5’10 or taller. The initial contact with a huge audience is a challenge for me.

However, the anticipation of failure quickly disappears after getting on to the runway. The applause I received after walking the runway gave me confidence. Since then, the acknowledgement of this challenge gave me the need to overcome this problem.

Tell us more about your work.
Platform for my business is Modeling. Modeling for live shows, magazines, commercials, and photoshoots. Professional Training: Runway/Model Training with Laura James and Brittney Sharaun from Americas Next Top Model. Scene Acting/ Commercial acting from Ryan Glasgow.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In this industry, anything can happen. There’s a possibility that I could wake up tomorrow and be booked for a huge show. I never know what’s to come. I plan on being in huge fashion weeks in the next few years. I am also planning to return to my YouTube channel and give more of a behind the scenes of modeling and entertainment, as well as building a clothing brand.
