Today we’d like to introduce you to Ramia Griffin.
Ramia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started this company after I finished playing college basketball. Came up with the idea in my dorm room and decided to pursue it, I wanted something that was my own, that no one else could possibly take credit for.
Has it been a smooth road?
Yes and no. Things have been smooth with the vendors and my graphic designers, however, with still being a full-time student, having a full-time job, and being a basketball coach at the same time, I haven’t put so much time into it. It’s really hard running this on your own when it isn’t my priority.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Finesse Family Apparel story. Tell us more about the business.
Finesse Family is an apparel company. We are known for our tshirts. I am most proud of the sales I’ve made, my website, and the media pictures I have taken. What sets me apart from others is that I was able to start this on my own, financially, with no help from anyone, not even a bank.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see hopefully me having a partner to help me run this. Right now, it’s too much for me to even touch due to what else I have going on. I’m interested currently in pursuing a career, not entrepreneurship.
