Meet Rami Halwani of Coco Candles in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rami Halwani.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Straight out of high school, I started working in my dad’s construction company where I am now a licensed General Contractor and Co-owner of the company, Marks Cabinets and Designs.

I would attend college and work at the same time, where I would start my mornings at work from 8AM to 4PM and set up my schedule for school accordingly any time after 4PM.

This is what trained me to be the hard worker I am today, it helped me get organized and really grasp and learn from all the experience I was getting in the work place.

I’ve always had a business mentality, currently today I am about to graduate from Cal State University Fullerton. Co-Owner of a Big Construction Company and sole owner of a candle manufacturing facility.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The most redundant struggle would be time, and time management. See, with school and my Candle Manufactory, I’m able to schedule my work according to the times I have set up for school, I usually work on my candle business after school until I get tired. It’s a very exhausting schedule.

With construction, we have a lot of issues with time, such as delays and additions to projects.

I’m also proficient in auto cad And I’m in charge of the office management for Marks Cabinets and Designs.

I’m about to graduate in the spring of 2018 and attain my Bachelor Degree in Business Entrepreneurship.

I’m hoping this will give me plenty more free time to focus on my businesses.

Coco Candles – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Coco Candles… established April 2016, in located in Anaheim, CA.

We are known for using coconut wax as our main and only wax ingredient for all our scented candles. We specialize in hand crafting container candles, and we make all our candles in house in our factory located in Anaheim.

We minimize our environmental footprint and maximize our benefit to society by using ecofriendly wax melting machinery and as well as all-natural ingredients.

As a company, I am really proud of the quality of our candles, and I’m also proud of our reviews from customers. It’s my absolute favorite when I hear that my products are superior to other competitors and It makes me happy knowing the time and effort that I put into it.

We don’t outsource any of our materials, they are all purchased in the USA.

We also print our own labels, we have had customers who have ordered custom candles with their business logo on it.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
For me, Success is being able to help others, owning a business, being able to support a family, and even more important other families.

For me… Success is not how much you make, but how much you give, I believe that’s the true definition of being rich.

Success is being that person that everyone looks up too, that go to guy that is willing to help everyone.

And most important, being successful means being happy. Always smiling and being happy, there’s no material, or number for success.
