Meet Rambo Lee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rambo Lee.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Rambo. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My journey started in Memphis,TN where I grew up at. I’ve always had a passion for music, around the age of 12 me and my cousins would freestyle battle at our grandmother’s house. At that point it was just something we did for fun, eventually I gravitated towards songwriting and what was once a hobby blossomed into a real love for expressing myself with song lyrics. After high school is when I felt like I found my purpose. While interning at Disney world I began being more free with my talents and started getting encouragement from friends and family to pursue my dreams but I had no idea where to start. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to say and how I wanted to present myself.

After a bunch of overthinking and self-doubt, I found my voice and confidence. 2015 is when I started to really take hold of my artistry. I started performing at hole in the wall venues in Murfreesboro, TN and worked my way into bigger venues. There was one venue in particular where I made my mark and truly gained a stage presence. This place will always be legendary to me, the venue was called Tempt. First time performing there I had to pay $75 bucks for a ten minute performance slot. It was an easy call for me I had been preparing myself for that moment and I wasn’t going to let that opportunity to pass me by. That night me and my Dj rocked the ten minute set, got off stage and was offered to host, headline the next event. That’s when I knew exactly what I wanted to do the rest of my life.

Fast forward to 2017, I took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angels to start building my brand with my producer Beeks Vybe. These two years have been the toughest but most rewarding years of my career so far. I’ve been through everything from sleeping in a car to couch surfing. It’s been worth it, I can humbly say I’ve been creating the best music I ever have and I’m super grateful I get to do it with people I love. I also have been fortunate enough to host headline events in LA. This is only the beginning.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I’ve been jobless, homeless but I’ve always found a way to survive and push forward.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a rapper, singer, songwriter and entertainer. I feel like what separates me from a lot of artists is my versatility. I feel like I’m known for making pretty good music and bringing a lot of energy to my live shows. Some people say I make them laugh which I also try to focus on when showcasing my brand. I’m most proud of the growth within myself and my small team, we have overcome so much and I’m excited for the future.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing I feel like all the bumps and bruises built character.
