Meet Rafael Vasck

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rafael Vasck.

Rafael, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
At the age of 18, I left my country and moved to London to pursue my dream of becoming a professional musician. After working with some talented musicians from the British capital and getting into the music industry, at the age of 19 I had the opportunity to move to Los Angeles and improve my skills as a professional musician in the prestigious music college of Musicians Institute in Hollywood. I got the degree of Associate of arts in music performance specialized on guitar.

Right now im releasing my first EP as a singer/guitarist songwriter, “Alquimia 1.0” I just released the first song “El conde Hollywood”. We recorded the EP with the great producer “Paco Loco” he is an amazing producer and it’s been a great experience working with him.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been definitely not a smooth road lol I mean as a musician, you have to be constantly struggling with a lot of challenges and adversities such as maintaining yourself economically, trying to promote your music, get the inspiration to compose, get time to study, all the time moving from place to place… plus all the difficulties life has itself.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
So basically I’m promoting my company and my music as my name “Rafael Vasck”, right now we are a power trio formed by me and another two friends I met in LA. We are specialized on making amazing and crazy rock shows, I am definitely most proud of our latest EP “Alquimia 1.0” with great songs like “Cadizfornia” or “El conde Hollywood” which is already released.

What sets me apart from others its the mix of influences and cultures that you can taste on my art, this mix is already part of myself plus when I make music I wait for the inspiration to come naturally when my mind is in silence so I think it kind of comes from a place deeper than myself, so I would say I’m just a medium lol

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Well, I wanna say I love and hate LA same level haha depending on the day. LA is by far one of my favourite places in the world, part of myself will always be on LA.

What I like best of your city is the mix of cultures and people from all around the world that you can find here, it’s just amazing. What I like the least its traffic, of course lol
