Meet Pranai Shah of Visuallhigh in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pranai Shah.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Photography was always my hobby. I started as a passionate photographer when I was in 10th grade! Slowly and gradually, I started to dig my feet more into this entertainment and media field. I scored my first gig through a DM on Instagram and it gave me much joy by just looking at the output which made me believe that I could do more, then it was a burning desire to go ahead and take it up as my profession and not just keep it as a hobby. I am the first in my family who choose to do photography and filmmaking as a profession which was followed with astounding support from my parents. I have worked with some of the best MNC’s cumulative of around 50 brands such as: Amazon, Cadbury, Jockey, Yamaha, Kingfisher, Uber eats, Zara, Vero Moda, Steve Madden, Etc. for whom I have produced social media content across almost all the leading content creation and social media platform. I have got to work with possibly the best team I could think of which is Nofiltr – a social media marketing firm in Mumbai, India.

They gave me my first international break where we went Turkey to create content for Cadbury – hazelnut. I have had my fair share of ups and downs as well, but everything is part and parcel for the industry. To study in UCLA has been my dream that I had been working on since past five years. I cannot be more thankful to everyone who has been a part of my journey to help me build dreams, structure and nurture them too and for the undivided attention to help me reach where I am today. I started my studies in UCLA for film and TV production in March 2020. Let’s see where this new journey takes me. By the time I knew, I was already in the middle of it.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every road is not a smooth road, just like that, I had some bumps on that way too. Some of the initial struggles were to find gigs to create my portfolio that I could use to pitch to get work. It’s always difficult when you are an upcoming budding photographer. Which makes it difficult for people to put faith in you when you don’t have much to show to get more projects. Its a slow and steady process and I was adamant on showing my abilities and making my dreams into reality which gave me push even when it was not going the way I had thought or wanted it to go.

Visuallhigh – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
It’s my Instagram which is @visuallhigh that I give my 100% too. I specialize in lifestyle and travel. What makes me different then others is that I am completely extrovert and communication is never a task for me and I try to think from my colleague or models perspective which helps me get a better and clear idea of what exactly they want from me, whats their taste and where does their interest lie. The most thing that I am proud of as a company is I am still in touch with every single one of my clients and colleagues and models even if I am in Los Angeles since the past six months! I try to make a bond which is warm and carter to the needs and make it memorable and that especially comfortable while being professional.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career until now was to meet the most amazing creator that I look up to that is, Rory Kramer. He works with some of the finest artists in the world such as Justin Bieber, The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Krewella, Shawn Mendes, Rae Sremmurd, Etc. I got a chance to meet him when he was traveling to Mumbai last year.
