Today we’d like to introduce you to Phallon Long.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Phallon. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
WhatLashezz started out in my dorm room at CSULB my first year of college. Today, I manage an online store, I’ve been certified two additional times and I am currently in school to become a licensed Esthetician. I intend to be the Panasonic of the beauty industry. A range of products that are so available that most customers don’t even realize there are purchasing from them. I got here today by will and trusting that this mission was meant specifically for me. I am grateful to own this brand and to build it from the ground up.
Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing ever worth having comes easy. This journey has never been easy but every step of the way, I give myself a pat on the back. Everyday I learn something new. When I first began, I was doing lashes on my Twin XL, with my phone light taped to my shirt for proper lighting. Everything I have, everything I’ve learned I taught myself. I am so grateful to learn. There were times where I spent my last little financial aid on lashes in hopes that someone would book with me. Here three years later and the books have a waiting list.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the WhatLashezz story. Tell us more about the business.
WhatLashezz is more than a beauty brand. WhatLashezz is a family, I am forming the best Beauty Bars across this nation. I specialize in eyelash extensions, eyebrow waxing and tint and lamination. While I will be licensed to do other industries I plan on hiring the best stylist to join my team. WhatLashezz Beauty Bars will be that one stop shop. Hair, nails, makeup, eyebrows and anything else you can think of under one roof. I take pride in WhatLashezz because everything I do, every product I create is made with love. I want my people to feel that I want them to see that all things are possible with faith. I am no different, the only difference is I chased my dreams. What sets WhatLashezz apart is the fact that I offer every single beauty service. You don’t have to run around town from hair to makeup, it’s all under one roof. WhatLashezz Beauty Bars will be a franchise, first of course in LA, next Atlanta, lastly Miami.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I only see this industry expanding. I only see WhatLashezz Beauty Bars being that next trend. Right now is the big shift, women have realized that regardless of pandemic or not. We want to feel beautiful, this industry isn’t going anywhere. We will adapt.
