Today we’d like to introduce you to Peter Philipp Wingsoe. Him and his team share their story with us below.
Please kick things off for us with some background on the story.
PPW has an impressive track record of building profitable brands and companies from the ground up and specializes in helping brands grow via strategic Marketing, Business, Brand & Product Development, Licensing, as well as, Sales and Distribution. As an international marketing guru, Board Member and Co-Founder of several corporations, he has a proven track record and highly effective evaluation process for determining and ensuring a brand’s success in its home territory as well as in international markets. With extensive reach and relationships with key industry people in retail within the USA and throughout South East Asia, PPW has created a winning combination for brands that wish to grow and expand their footprint.
PPW co-founded the first-of-its-kind “in stream” advertising platform ad.ly, along with other household names in the digital sphere (Including Payra, Kalibrr, Tinder …etc.).
Previously the CEO of Mango in Asia, PPW currently serves as Board Member, Advisor and Consultant for numerous start-ups as well as established Corporations in both the US, Philippines and Thailand, including Trimark Group of Companies, Fico Corporation, Moon Ultra, American Vanity, and IntraCare to name a few. As a Group and Executive Advisor, he is responsible for advising the various companies and CEOs across a full range of organizational activities, but in particular Marketing, Brand Strategies, Business Development and Brand expansion, etc. He works closely with the CEO and the Corporate Board(s); he performs high-level engagement with a range of stakeholders at a variety of levels, including liaising with new potential business opportunities and in particular for brands and retail in the SEA region.
PPW splits his time among his residences in Los Angeles, Bangkok and Manila and continues to speak routinely at global forums on brand innovation, brand extensions and SEA growth opportunities.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
HAHAHA, Definitely Not Smooth. Like most entrepreneurs, I’ve made my fair share of mistakes. I don’t know if there’s one specific mistake that I remember in particular, but what I have learned is…

I think the most important thing to remember in life is don’t be afraid of trying. If you fail get back up and try again; remembering that it’s okay to fail, eventually, you will succeed as long as you learn from your mistakes. Be positive because nobody wants to be around a negative person, be encouraging and inspiring because your team will work harder for someone that they look up to. And lastly, remember you can do a lot on your own, but realize you can do more as a team!
Please tell us more about your work. What else should we know?
I work mostly as a consultant and help companies grow; I suppose the areas I pride myself as being the best in our Business Development, Marketing and (Int’l) distribution.
I currently work with many retail brands, either helping them explore more business development opportunities or expand into international territories, particularly southeast Asia.
Having lived overseas for 10+ years, I not only understand the retail markets in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, as well as Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines but also know all the dynamics of each country, the in-and-out as they say, ultimately I know all the main distributors, their strength and capabilities, to ensure a brands success.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I usually spend 4-5 months in Asia, as I have homes in both Bangkok and Manila. I’m hoping that we will eventually be able to travel freely again and that I will once again be able to go back to Asia; not only for my own pleasures but also to help my clients continue their growth and opportunities in the region.
I currently work with one of my investments and brands called MOON, www.moonultra.com, they originally launched at CES back in January 2020 and received CES product of the year by Time Magazine, and though request and demand for the product is exceptional, its been hard to truly help them launch internationally due to the pandemic and lockdowns. Fingers crossed that we will be able to push and catch up with demand in 2021.
