Meet Paulina Hilla

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paulina Hilla.

Paulina, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
When I was a newborn, I got adopted by my parents from Brazil. After the adoption process was done, my parents and I moved back to Germany and at the age of two, we moved to Austria.

With my mother being a dancer, I was raised with dance and quickly my life was set out to become a dancer. Going through the pressure and hard work that it takes to become a professional ballerina, I quickly realized that I wanted to keep it as a hobby. During that time I transitioned to a boarding school, about an hour from home. The school itself was an International School and my first connection to acting. In that school, we had a very well structured Theatre course and since I did the International Baccalaureate I further chose it as one of my main focuses for my high school graduation.

After diving into the world of Theatre I quickly realized, that I wanted to continue in the art of acting. Especially since it reminded me of dance, in its own way of expressing emotions and more so the incredible art of storytelling. After searching for Acting schools that would focus on Film Acting, I decided to go to NY to begin my dream of becoming an actress. This further brought me to LA, where I am now able to combine the art of dance and acting, enabling me to work in two fields that are not only my passion but more so a part of myself.

Has it been a smooth road?
The most difficult moments were leaving to the other side of the world and leaving my family behind. I am very close to my parents which made it very hard to move to the United States, but I know that they are very supportive of this choice and decision. Therefore it is now easier to be further away from them because I know, that all they want for me is to be happy and accomplished.

Tell us more about your work.
I am an actress, that is aspiring to combine her passion for dance with her craft in acting. I am hoping to be able to tell stories that touch people all over the world, through the use of these two art forms. Further, I am hoping to inspire my audience, to follow their dreams and desires and to fulfill them, no matter what comes their way.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
For the future, I am hoping to work in these fields that I love and hope to be able to touch many people’s hearts with the craft of acting.
