Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Church.
Paige, plea share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Designer & Creative junkie feeding my soul with creating, imagining and inventing. I believe in the importance of authenticity, community, family, philanthropy, nature, optimism, and celebrating life, in the now. Since establishing my career as a designer in 2009. I have had the pleasure of working with clientele and “gigs” I’m extremely proud to have in my portfolio. My designing has provided the opportunities I couldn’t have imagined as I first started. I’ve been blessed to work in television and with many celebrity clienteles. I am also humbled by the range and scope of career experiences I have been fortunate to have had and still have on going. I am extremely excited for this concept shop with multi levels of design services in Costa Mesa, CA. I hope to connect and create with all of you soon and often.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road to say the least! In fact, it’s been extremely winding. Every time I think I have it figured out, I am surprised, but I like it like that! I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have been able to build the best bonds as a result of my struggles, from employees, clients, vendors and friends. I’ve never been one to admit that I don’t know what I’m doing so in the famous words of my COO,” I have a PhD in research from Google University” When you stop learning is when the struggle stops, you just coast and become stagnant. I got into this business to make connections. If you are on auto-pilot, you are in a cubicle existing. I am here to live, to experience and to thrive.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Studio La Fleur – what should we know?
STUDIO LA FLEUR is Orange County’s destination for unique + curated + bespoken Home, Garden and Floristry services. We are a design house with a KICK ASS forever evolving 3000 sq. retail store in the heart of downtown Costa Mesa. CA. Along with premium floristry services for gifting and events. We carry a vast multitude of unique and curated potted succulents, cacti, and botanicals daily. Our large showroom is filled with thoughtfully sourced gifting, home decor, containers, one-of-a-kind accents and furniture pieces. I am very proud of my sister business Grass Roots Landscaping. We are a group of cool creatives that feel amazed. We are able to do what we love and feel passionately about the work and living art we create. We are definitely not your typical Landscape design firm. We love transforming blank slates into inviting spaces that are not only on trend but are truly sustainable. It’s one thing to have a beautiful landscape but if not correctly thought and planned out, could end up being a complete let down as quickly as a year later. We strive in working with our clients to of course provide the aesthetic wanted.
What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
The proudest moment of my career would definitely be the day I became a mother. My son Pasha gave me purpose. None of this would exist without him. When I had my son, it wasn’t even a thought, it wasn’t even a decision, it was just automatic for me. I continue to strive to be my absolute best as he brings out the best in me. My whole reasoning behind this is to make connections. At the end of the day, success is not measured in money for me.
