Meet Paige Bounassi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Bounassi.

Hi Paige, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I fell in love with Real Estate years ago but never pursued it because I was a full-time college student. Something kept bringing me back to it and once I graduated with my communications degree in 2019, I decided to see if this could be the career move for me. I met my amazing broker Michael Zargarian from a zip recruiter ad he put out for an office assistant. I spent a few weeks at the office and loved the culture and the business so much I decided to go to school for realty and take the state licensing exam. Michael my broker was there helping me every step of the way and I got my real estate license in 2019 as well! I moved up from being a real estate assistant to being a Realtor myself!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Of course, there have been bumps and rough patches. I started doing realty full time right before the pandemic and lockdown. That threw a whole wrench in all the plans I had made to grow my business. I didn’t have the established clientele like some of my other colleagues. So for the few deals I did do with my clients, I learned so much and am forever grateful I was able to work with them and get them their ideal homes during the crazy market of 2020 and 2021.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
So I am a Realtor, so I can help with all forms of residential or commercial sales. I help buyers, sellers, commercial leases, residential leases and so on! I have to say at heart, I see myself as a buyers agent though. There’s something so wonderful and fulfilling to me helping someone get into a home and begging building generational wealth. I didn’t grow up wealthy by any means and I believed homeownership was a fantasy unless you were rich. Thankfully I have spent over three years devoting myself to helping people find their ideal homes in a price range that works for them!

I have helped all my buyers close at or below asking price of the properties (this was in the wild markets of 2020 and 2021 mind you) with credit at the close of escrow as well. Transactions like that are the reason I love being a buyer’s agent. Helping people start their life in a place that’s THEIRS!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Michael Zargarian. Period. My broker has been so supportive and communicative and knowledgeable from the moment I met him. He has helped me build the career and confidence I have today to be a Realtor in LA.

I also can’t thank my partner José Escorcia enough. He’s a filmmaker in Los Angeles and has always encouraged me and assisted me with my work. He has a Black Magic camera that he helps me film properties and take pictures for listings with. Being able to have that cinema-quality whenever I need it helps me with sellers who want amazing pictures of their homes for our listings.

I also have so much admiration for my NextHome Grandview coworker, like Christine Babayan. My coworker Samir Hobab and I also frequently push each other in the field to continue growing. As well as my amazing Transaction Coordinator José Martinez. He coached me for a year and gave me so much insight and knowledge on how to be a better realtor.
