Meet Nilo G. Low of Kapture Vision in Newport Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nilo G. Low.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Nilo. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started Kapture at the age of 25, feeling fueled by the love of creating experiences. It was never my dream or passion to be an entrepreneur or business owner, I honestly thought I would just climb the corporate ladder and one day hope to make it to an executive level of leadership within marketing or events. As a college student, I planned small gatherings and once organized a breast cancer fundraiser in the backyard of my parents’ home. It was at that time, when I was 19 years old, that I knew I loved producing events and began pursuing it with great focus. That small backyard gathering ended up becoming an annual event, and each year we would raise more and more money for breast cancer research and awareness. At the seven-year mark, when I chose to launch my event agency I simultaneously launched a 501c3 non-profit organization and began running two companies at the same time, intertwined in passion and purpose. Our events team would volunteer their time to help organize breast cancer fundraisers throughout the country, and we’ve now supported local patients in 9 different cities throughout the country.

Has it been a smooth road?
Growing this business has been quite the experience. Each month presents new challenges, whether it be related to the logistical side of running a business or the creative side of supporting our clients and expanding on unique ideas. The first three years was a phase of proving we could do it. Keep the cash flow positive, employees paid, and business alive – and thankfully, we did. The next few years were focused on how to grow a strong team and build our portfolio of clientele, which we’re grateful to say we’ve done. This next chapter that we’re currently in allows us to take a closer look at the kinds of events we want to produce, so the journey continues and there will always be challenges ahead.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Kapture Vision story. Tell us more about the business.
Kapture is a full-service event agency specializing in design, production and management. We are known to be excellent in client service, creative development and onsite event execution. Our entire team devotes their craft to serving each client’s needs to the best of their ability. I’m most proud of the kindness and generosity that each of our team members embodies, both in the workplace and beyond. They are such a pleasure to work with and I couldn’t think of better people representing our brand each day. In this industry, these kinds of selfless, talented, intelligent people are what truly sets Kapture apart from other event agencies.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We expect big shifts. Technology has changed the game for everyone. Pinterest and Instagram are just the beginning of helping people bring their vision to life in more illustrative way. It’s great for event professionals like us, because it helps communicate with our clients and vendors very effectively. Some may say that people will not need event planners, but I don’t believe that. The level of attention to detail and creative messaging that adds value to an event cannot be matched any other way than one-on-one support. I think the event industry will continue to become a leading marketplace for companies and customers to experience each other. It’s an exciting time to be an event professional because the opportunity is endless and the creativity is continuous.
