Meet Nigel Heath of Absolution Brewing Company in SouthBay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nigel Heath.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story?
Passion for artisan, handmade beers, and ales using Old World techniques and New World Ingredients.

Water, grain, yeast and hops – that’s it – no chemicals, no preservatives, no stabilizers.

Desperately wanted to ‘Absolve’ Angelenos from drinking bad fizzy, yellow big beer.

Has it been a smooth road?
Maxed out production and customers wanted more beer!

Ripped out old brew equipment and replaced with 5X capacity

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Absolution Brewing Company – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Absolution Brewing Company – Pure Pleasure, No Guilt

The finest grain, yeast, hops and water – that’s it.

‘Farm to Glass’ artisan handmade beers & ales using Old World techniques and New World ingredients.

Added ingredients from Tapia Farms in North LA, the oldest family farm (3rd generation) in the Valley and family connection with the brewery. e.g. our Strawberry Saison uses the finest strawberries straight from the field, not processed industrial juice.

Our ADJD, whiskey barrel-aged IPA and Holy Cow, Milk Stout had national recognition.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Best – The diversity, passion, and thirst for craft beer knowledge.

Least – The traffic & the 405 (unless it’s our No Coast IPA, The 405!)
