Meet Nate Curry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nate Curry.

Hi Nate, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started recording/performing at the age of three. My father was in a rap group called “The Cuf’ and they’d always have me around the studio or jumping on stage at their shows. I’m so glad I always stuck with it. Everything I’ve dreamed of is really starting to happen. From TikTok success to big country-wide tours. Lately, I cannot stay out of LA. There’s many amazingly gamed up creatives and musical geniuses everywhere. A huge portion of my biggest influences are from LA. I’ve been blessed to be able to come out here and get a lot of beautiful work done. It’s amazing, got a whoooole lot on the way this year, pretty much all written and recorded out here!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a musician is always one of those dreams people will tell you not to follow as a kid. It’s always gonna be tough trying to do what everyone around you says is impossible. I’ve had a tons of horrible shows, songs, investments, self-doubt, even contemplated quitting a few times, but that’s part of the game! We are just getting started!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a Rapper/Singer/Songwriter/Producer based out of the Sacramento area. I would say my what sets me apart is my versatility, live performance and airy voice. I can’t wait to get back on that stage, that’s where I truly feel at home. I’m most proud of my growth over the years. Going from being a pure underground rapper with no interest in ever singing to a pretty much full-time r&b singer with stacked harmonies and falsettos is something I never thought I’d be able to do. My main goal with creating is to challenge myself but also make a slap that isn’t challenging for the listener.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
