Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Dressler.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Natasha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My love for writing and all things related to PR (Public Relations) began at the age of 16. I started my own music magazine (a ‘zine called Sugar Cube) and quickly began to use my passion for networking and self-promotion to get record stores to carry my self-published magazine for free. For those of age that remember independent record stores, there were always racks with flyers or self-published magazines, it was a cool labor of love.
I spent 18+ years in many fast-paced industries: Cosmetics, Medical Software, Mobile Gaming, and the good ol Marketing Agency life. I realized in each one of my jobs, I used organization, networking, strong relationships, and technical skills to further my career. Ultimately I was laid off from my last job and realized it was time to start my journey into the Entrepreneur world.
Currently, I support clients out of my home office providing PR and Strategic Marketing solutions. I use my prior learnings from my former industries to help my clients think outside of the box and provide unique solutions for their needs.
A proud Nittany Lion, I attended Pennsylvania State University, with a major in Communications and a focus in Public Relations and Advertising.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being an Entrepreneur is comparable to a heartbeat, you’ll have a low peak (rest), you’ll have a high peak (OH NO EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE), and repeat. There are days you put your head down on your desk and wonder if working 70 hour weeks without complaining to a soul is worth it – which the answer is always YES. Imposter Syndrome is a real thing. You will find yourself comparing your worth and work to others but that is when it is time to dig deep and realize: there is only ONE you.
Please tell us about Natasha Dressler PR & Marketing.
I provide unique and custom PR and Strategic Marketing solutions for Female Entrepreneurs, Thought Leaders, Podcasts, Public Figures, Independent Skincare and/or Cosmetic Brands, and Small Businesses. My Mission Statement is simple: “Provide a Creative and Collaborative Experience to Take You to The Next Level.”
I believe what sets me apart from other PR Professionals is, I’m your Magnetic Super Connector and Personal Hype Woman. Yes, Hype Woman. I will be your biggest fan and make sure the world knows why you’re special. I’m really proud to be authentic, and while I may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I know that my mission and vision align with so many others out there that don’t fit in with a “traditional” Public Relations agency.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
To be honest, I am happy with my journey because it shaped me into who I am today. If I had to pick something, I would say refining my Mission Statement, Vision, and Goals. Once you have a hold on those three big pillars, you can be unstoppable!
