Meet Nadia Lynch of Nerdia Nadia in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadia Lynch.

Nadia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Well, my story is truly just a journey of someone searching for their purpose and living unapologetically along the way. I’m a very multifaceted person that, simply, got tired of explaining everything that I am juggling so I decided to share it with others. I’m a 20 something that has lived in just about every demographic from the fields in the country of North Carolina to currently the metropolis of Detroit.

I grew up a shy kid and truth be told, I still am rather shy. I just became more talkative as a way to find what I have in common with others, which has given me more confidence to put myself out there as a model, engineer, mentor, blogger and ambassador to numerous companies. Since I’m not crystal clear my purpose in this life, I’ve taken up more tasks and tried different outlets to see what I truly love. But it turns out that I love it all, especially documenting it because I get to live my truth and help others along the way.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has most definitely not been a smooth road. I’ve had a bunch of ups and downs, but it’s all a part of life and the master plan. I have a theory that every time I go through a struggle of any sort, it’s just preparing me for the next level and to be able to help someone that’s going to go through the exact same struggle.

My main struggles have been issues in my corporate engineering job because I know that what I’m currently doing is not something I want to do ten years from now, but I’m not sure what I want to do ten years from now so I just feel stuck from time to time. I also live with depression and extreme anxiety, which causes me to have some severely low moments where I isolate the world and get pretty negative about pretty much everything. If it weren’t for the absolutely amazing people in my life, I’m not sure if I’d still be here. My coping techniques from therapy sessions, venting with friends and figuring out what truly makes me happy has truly made all the difference. I don’t want to sound like it was a magic trick at all, but once I found a therapist that I actually connected with the steps to follow became easier and easier.

I share all of this in my diary on my site as well and it has truly helped me to be honest with myself and to feel less alone with these struggles that affect many more people than I ever could imagine.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My business is myself, Nerdia Nadia! I offer many services from modeling for campaigns, new photographers to creating newsletters, websites, mentoring sessions, and blog articles. I’d love to tell you that I specialize in one type or just one area, but I just don’t. What I have to offer touches numerous people and I’m extremely proud of that! I just love to share myself with the masses in an effort to uplift and help everyone that I can!

My personal diary, or blog, has gained a level of trust with my readers that I’m so thankful for. They know that I’m being my most honest self and some have even helped me through tough moments because they could relate and give me some great advice from their own personal experience! I think we hear about complete strangers spewing hate way too much and the fact that strangers come to me to give love and help makes my heart smile! My honesty and transparency sets me apart from the other content creators and influencers, I love that! I’ve created an outlet where I can truly be myself in whatever I deem necessary and it has opened doors to new friendships and opportunities that otherwise would’ve been locked shut.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
ABSOLUTELY! Los Angeles is full of people just being themselves, which is pretty scarce. It’s encouraging to find people that are all on a similar journey to find fulfillment struggling, winning and sharing it all along the way. It’s such a beautiful city that has so many hidden gems alongside the huge gems that everyone already knows.

I’d recommend LA for sure! There’s something for everyone and getting feedback whether good, bad or indifferent will be crucial to your momentum in building. It’ll be just as crucial to build up your adaptability skills because the market is ever-changing!
