Meet Adrian Jauregui

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian Jauregui.

Adrian, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Music Production has always been a passion mine, at age ten I remember asking my mom if she could sign me up for music lessons. In 2001, I began taking classes at the Los Angeles Music and Arts school in East Los Angeles. I remember I was so excited, I tried a few things such as Violin and Piano. One day while going to Violin lessons, I heard Jazz music playing across the hallway and saw a kid my age playing Jazz on a drum set. I immediately fell in love with a distinct sound, Miles Davis

“Kind of Blue” was playing and I walked into the room and watched this kid play the drums. The following week, I tried drum lessons and felt like I found my niche and began my journey as a percussionist.

As I grew, so did my passion for music. I began collaborating with other musicians learning how to play guitar, sing and write lyrics. I would tell people I would give them drum lessons in exchange for guitar, piano and singing lessons. In 2018, I went through a terrible heartbreak and began working on my EP “CANVAS” which was just released early January 2020. Since then, my music has been featured in foreign Non-profit Film(s), Television and even Esports Professional Gaming. Pop and Electronic dance genres are my preferred sound however, I’m open to everything.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely not, after playing for ten plus years and getting rejected multiple times, there was a point where I gave up. Honestly, if it wasn’t for my heartbreak, I don’t think I would have ever got back into music. All my songs are based on true events word for word and the listener gets to experience phases of my life. Once I created a music catalog in October of 2019, I started getting paid as a professional studio musician ghostwriting music and singing backup vocals for other Independent artists.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a Singer, Songwriter, and Producer. Something unique about myself is I love supporting other musicians and being apart of various projects. When it comes to music genres, I’m flexible and open to all. If I can’t sing on your track, I can guarantee you I can either help you write, produce or play percussion on your track. Sound is my first language.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My goal is to be known as an American top 40 musician. Without a doubt, I’m confident I will accomplish that goal however, I understand I have so much more to grow and learn about the Music and Entertainment industry. Besides that, I would like to create Music for TV, Film and Commercial use.
