Meet Morgan Duffey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Duffey.

Morgan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It all started when I was fourteen. I had just gotten out of school for summer vacation when my mother looked at me and asked me if I still wanted to act. I told her yes. So, that day we made a bet. She told me, “If you book at least one thing before the summer is over. I will support you and your acting.” It was game on from that point. We looked and researched some acting classes and then we came across Bill Billions with Hollywood Huntsville. My mother and I called and scheduled a meeting the next day. When we went to our meeting with Bill we were told that there would be a movie filming at the Space and Rocket Center all summer and Bill and his wife, Ayoka Billions, were holding the auditions. He had invited me to come back out the next week to audition for a featured role in the film. So the day of the audition comes and I remember being extremely nervous. This was my first audition ever! I signed in and my mother put her contact information next to my name. I went into audition and totally bombed. I didn’t get offered the role however, they asked me to come out and be a featured extra for the summer! My mother was thrilled for me! I remember being so excited and telling her, “I win!” After that, she signed me up for classes and I’ve been acting and training ever since then!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not always been the smoothest road. Especially still being a teenager and just entering high school. There were days I felt like I just didn’t want to do it anymore but I knew if I had stopped everything, I would regret it for the rest of my life. The road will never be completely easy and that is okay as the best things in life never come completely easy!

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am an actress and a model. I occasionally sing, as well. Right now, the role I am best known for would be Jenny Clark on when Murder Comes to Town. The one role that I am the most proud of is actually a role that didn’t get to see daylight. I was booked as a supporting role and later would become a lead in a Netflix Series that fell through at the last minute. What sets me apart from others is my drive to be great! Ever since I can remember, all I’ve wanted was to be one of the greats!

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment in my career would be the Netflix Series I had mentioned. I was 18 when I booked the role and was about to graduate from high school. I quickly transferred to an online school so I could hurry up and graduate before filming began. Unfortunately, just before the cast and I was about to start making the arrangements to go to L.A., we all got the call that the show fell through with the production company.
